AN UPDATE ON THE MUSEUM’S REOPENING

We are excited to announce that we are planning to reopen the museum at 9am on Wednesday 9 September; that’s 999 day!

Between now and then we will be working hard to complete all the required changes to our building to make it as safe as we can for visitors. We will also be welcoming back our fabulous team of staff and volunteers, providing them with support and training so that they feel confident about their role in making your visitor experience as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

We know that many visitor attractions have chosen to open earlier than us. However we are a small team and we want to give ourselves plenty of time to get the museum, and our team, ready to start welcoming you all again. It is so, SO important that we get it right. Hopefully it doesn’t feel like too long to wait!

Over the next few weeks we will be sharing more information about our reopening, and what visitors can expect, on our website and through social media. This will include more information on online ticketing and pre-booking, which we plan to launch in August.

Thank you to all our friends and fans who have stuck with us during what has been a very difficult few months. We have been overwhelmed and extremely touched by the response from the general public and are so grateful for all your support. We cannot wait to see you all again.
