Animal heroes

The RSPCA is the world’s oldest and largest animal welfare charity and we’ll be holding a little party to celebrate its 200th birthday. Explore our RSPCA exhibition, play party games, make your own animal prints, and see how the organisation helps animals in lots of different situations. Let’s not forget some special four-legged guests as we also look at how animals are superheroes.

As the nights get darker and the weather turns colder, let us dive into the dark and spooky story of the Victorians. This October half-term join us for some gruesome stories, creepy crafts, and become a detective while we explore the exhibitions for some villainous Victorians.

Join our team as we set sail and explore the history of air sea rescue. Get crafty and make a helicopter, jump on board our RNLI lifeboat, plan a rescue with HM Coastguard and meet members of an air ambulance crew!

The 999 Show

Hosted by the museum, we’ll be holding our first ‘999 Show’ at the stunning location of Wentworth Woodhouse in Rotherham. This weekend-long event will showcase all our emergency services past and present and provides the opportunity for us to showcase parts of the collection not normally on show here at the museum. Heritage Open Days

Celebrate local history with Heritage Open Days as we explore the history of theatre. The museum is located on West Bar in Sheffield, once the home of the hustle and bustle of the city's theatre district.
