Golden Years: 50 years of South Yorkshire’s Emergency Services.

2024 marks 50 years since the formation of ‘South Yorkshire.’ Join our curatorial team for meet-and-greet sessions with videos, stories, and objects in our new cafe as we celebrate the last 50 years of South Yorkshire’s emergency services.

These drop-in sessions will be on Friday, September 6, and Friday, September 13, 10:30 - 12:30 and 13:00 - 15:00.

Get your dancing shoes on as we celebrate the community spirit of the 1940s with live music, dance, re-enactors, displays, storytelling, crafts, meet Father Christmas, magic and more!

This interactive talk will teach you about the real-life case at Woburn Abbey concerning the unexpected discovery of multiple sets of human skeletal remains. Led by forensic anthropologist, Dr Chris Aris.
