Booking and buying tickets online...

Please read the following before booking and visiting:

Things are a little different for all of us right now, we're asking all visitors to follow a few simple rules to ensure that we protect the health and safety of our visitors, staff and volunteers. These include following our suggested route around the building, keeping a safe distance from other visitors, sanitising your hands regularly and wearing a face covering at all times.


To make sure you know what to expect from your visit to NESM, please make sure you read the information on our 'welcome back' page before visiting.


Every newly purchased ticket is automatically upgraded into a year ticket so you can visit us all year for no additional charge. When completing your tickets please provide the full name of all visitors to validate your ticket. The names on the ticket must be of the persons visiting. Proof of ID may be requested on arrival at the museum.

Some of your information will be used for NHS Track and Trace. EVERY visitor over the age of 16 MUST provide their full name and contact number to comply with Government regulations.

Year entry tickets:

Please note that your year ticket is the paper ticket you are issued with when visiting the museum. We do not keep records of previous ticket holders so without your paper ticket we will not be able to validate your free entry and you must repurchase a new ticket. We are operating a new booking, payments and year ticket system and are now offering a new style of year ticket. This will make arriving at the museum and pre-booking for future visits simpler. We understand this past year has been difficult for us all and after being closed for over a year we can not wait to see visitors again.
