Paranormal investigations...

Housed in one of the UK's first purpose built combined Police, Fire and Ambulance station in the heart of Sheffield, this fascinating Victorian building has served through both World Wars and seen an active service through the years of the Sheffield Gang Wars. The building is located just off the inner ring road in Sheffield, opposite to the current Law Courts and the location of the former workhouse. Within the grounds of the museum site once stood one of Sheffield first picture houses which sadly burnt down in the late 1990s.

With the building and its surroundings, this spooky station holds some amazing stories from the sad souls that spent time in the building’s police cells, to the service men and women who lived and worked in the building. The building's walls house over one hundred years of histories, character and events.

Some areas of the building have been converted into exhibition areas and visitor facilities but original features like our police cells, engine house and fireman's bedroom still stand proud. Building work began on this amazing site around 1886 with the completion and opening of the station in 1900. The building was originally home to the Sheffield Police, Fire Brigade and remained in operation as a Police Station until 1965.

Why not join the likes of Most Haunted and other prominent Paranormal Investigation groups and hire the building for an evening for you and your team? Our paranormal investigation hire allows groups to explore the building on Friday and Saturday nights, from 20:00 - 02:00. Hire starts at £400 for 6 hours with additional hours charged at £50 per hour. The museum provides a member of staff for security and to offer a short introduction to the building.

Groups are more than welcome to sell tickets but please note that proof of insurance is required and numbers are limited.
