Volvo S70 T5, Traffic car
1998
Originally purchased by and served with Nottinghamshire Police until it was retired and used as a TV and Film prop car.

Ford Transit Public Order Vehicle (POV)
2007
Originally equipped with a cell, purpose built storage for riot equipment and 10 seats for South Yorkshire Police. Retired from service in 2014 and donated to the museum as an exhibition vehicle.

Originally served with South Yorkshire Police, later donated to the museum in 2014.

Italian scooter
c1990
This Italian 'City Police' scooter became part of the museums collection in 2017.

BSA Gold Flash
c1950
This BSA was purpose built as a training aid to educate officers on the mechanics of the bike.

Currently on display at the museum in the Police Transport Gallery and kindly on loan from West Midlands Police.
Land Rover
c.1990
​Donated to the museum in early 2023, this Land Rover 110 was operational with the MPD (ministry of defence police). This vehicle weighs 3.5 tonnes and is fully armoured.
Ford Anglia 100E
1959
This classic car was purchased and converted into a police car for the popular TV programme Heartbeat.

Rover P6 Traffic Car
1976
Originally served with South Yorkshire Police, nicked named 'jam sandwich' and was refurbished by serving offices after being found in a scrap yard.

BMW Police Bike
c. 1970
Originally served with South Yorkshire Police until it was purchased from duty by the officer who served on it.

Le Velocette
1966
Nicknamed the 'noddy' bike, this Le Velocette served with Sheffield and Rotherham Police and remained with South Yorkshire Police before it became part of the museum collection.

Ford
2007
This vehicle was a Area Response car for Bournemouth District of Dorset Constabulary until 2011. It was later donated in 2022 to the museum and is currently under the care of Wessex Fire and Rescue in Dorset.
Morris Minor panda car
1968
Originally served with Bristol Police and would have been fitted with a much larger roof light for traffic duties.

Rover Metro
1991
Originally served with the Met Police in London and was never fitted with blue lights. Later used as a TV and Film prop car on ITV's The Bill.

Armoured Landrover
c.1980
Originally served at Heathrow Airport and converted and re-purposed by South Yorkshire Police for special operations.

Honda Pan European
2000
After serving with South Yorkshire Police, this bike was retired from service after being involved in a road traffic incident. This bike has been repurposed as part of the museums road safety exhibition.

Ford escort
1988
Donated to the museum in early 2023, this Ford Escort was operational with the MPD (ministry of defence police) before being lovingly restored by MDP volunteers.
