Mega Machines

Join us for a mega machines summer.

 

During the school holidays we will be giving our visitors the chance to explore some true Mega Machines and learn how they are used by the emergency services.

 

You'll get the opportunity to see exhibits not normally on public display as well as get more up close and personal than ever before with some of our normal exhibits.

​

There'll be a treasure trail to challenge our younger visitors and our ever-popular weekend fire engine ride experience will be running. Plus, of course, plenty of time to explore the three floors of hands-on history and dynamic displays.​

Special events

Wed 27, Thurs 28 and Fri 29 July: climb aboard our 47-foot Tyne class lifeboat. Explore the cabin and find out about the heroes of the RNLI.

​

Wed 3, Thurs 4 and Fri 5 Aug: the cab of our airport truck will be open to sit in.

​

Wed 10 and Thurs 11: Become a Junior Firefighter and discover what it takes to be a lifesaver.

​

Fri 12: It's Toy Time (for big AND little kids). Get hands on with some model vehicles.

​

Wed 17, Thurs 18 and Fri 19 Aug: the cab of our airport truck will be open to sit in.

Wed 24, Thurs 25 and Fri 26 Aug: climb aboard our 47-foot Tyne class lifeboat. Explore the cabin and find out about the heroes of the RNLI.
